Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

It appears that how happy you are with Nationwide depends upon which plan you’re on and how old your dog is. I’ve had Nationwide for my boy for about 10 years, he’s now 14, and as a result the premiums have sky rocketed, while the Major Medical benefit schedule pays such low amounts as to be ridiculous, so I cancelled. I couldn’t see any scenario where I would ever save money. I’ve heard from others that their plan that pays a percentage of the cost is much better. So be aware, Major Medical will not cover your major medical expenses. They don’t ever update the benefit amounts over the life of your dog and your cost will go way up as your dog gets older. I will go elsewhere for my pet insurance in the future.

Nationwide has provided superior service on every claim submitted. We've had three dogs covered, one of which we recently lost after his fifth hospitalization. Thanks to Nationwide, he had the best care possible and we are eternally grateful. Everyone on their team has always been friendly, caring, and professional. I always recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance to my friends and neighbors. My most recent interaction was with Martha when I called to confirm our policy was cancelled after the passing of our sweet Ronnie. Martha was so kind and helpful...she's a true asset to the Nationwide team.

Briana Bonilla is an awesome CSR! Kind, patient, professional & knows her stuff. Briana spent about 10 minutes on the phone to help me sort out why an invoice hadn't been paid. She took the time to make sure I understood all the information that was needed so I can resubmit the invoice. Nationwide's Pet Insurance coverage is phenomenal. My dogs are covered and always will be. I first learned about them thru work. It was offered as a benefit. And when work decided to change and go with another company I stayed with Nationwide as they have been nothing but great. My oldest at 9 had a bladderstone surgery and thanks to the wonderful coverage and helpful customer service I ended up paying less than $50 when all was said and done. I highly recommend them hands done, no doubt.
