Nationwide has been a life saver, for my pet and for me

Our Frenchie is our world but we haven’t had an easy time with her health. Nationwide pet insurance has made it possible for us to keep her as our pet and ensure she is healthy and happy. Nationwide provides us with peace of mind and financial support for vet appointments in the difficult times we’ve faced with Luna. The news claims process is straightforward and easy to use. Love this insurance program!!!

This program is simply the best! Certainly easier than human health insurance. Easy forms, quick reimbursement and multi-pet discount. Also, we get it through a program offered by my spouse's employer.

Best Investment

I wasn't sure whether I should enroll in pet insurance, or not, but it has ended up being a very smart decision. Nationwide claims are very easy to submit, they have great communication if they need any additional information and their reimbursement is very quick with direct deposit. I couldn't be happier that I made the decision to use Nationwide with my St. Bernard and would recommend them to anyone who has a pet.

We have gotten so much money back over the years

VPI pet insurance has been SO worth it over the years! We have gotten so much money back on our claims AND the peace of mind of knowing we are covered for big things if they happen. We highly recommend VPI to everyone we know who welcomes a pet into their family!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
