Slow Moving
I am very thankful for having insurance for my dog and grateful that Nationwide held up their end of the policy by paying 90% of my dogs eye surgery. But what I am unhappy with was how long it took to get the approval!! And wasn't impressed with customer support.

The BEST pet insurance company.
Nationwide’s claim department is very quick on taking care of your claim payment. The process is simple and everything can be done on line. Would highly recommend this company.

Very happy with Nationwide
Nationwide covered exactly what they said they would, and very promptly. One HUGE benefit is the 24 helpline. I got a very nice person on the phone to guide me on what to do after my girl ate another dog's antibiotics. She was able to find the toxicity level (saved me a $69 call to Poison Control) and suggested I go to the Emergency Vet. That vet knew nothing about what to do and called in with my reference number and talked to the Nationwide Vet to find out how to handle this. What a wonderful benefit. Thank you!

Our Dalmation has had insurance for a number of years with your company. We are grateful that she continues to have coverage as she is getting older than Most companies would take her. If I could say anything it would be for people to stick with the policy so that when the dog gets into their senior years they will be able to have coverage for the pet. When we first got the insurance we had Aura spayed and got the premium service, so she had the maximum amount of coverage. I believe it has been about eight years now on this plan. It has worked out for us putting the charges on our credit card and paying it back the covered amount when we get a check. This most recent visit was for an injury, and most all of it was covered. Thanks a bunch!

Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
