Nationwide is awesome

My lab puppy is a challenge and is extremely active. He finds himself getting hurt and into everything . He has had to wear the cone of shame more times than we can count. Nationwide has been there for us everytime! I can’t say enough god things about them. We have had two other labs that were insured by other carriers and I wish we had known about Natonwide for them.

#LifeSaver

Nationwide Pet Insurance was a lifesaver for our family member, a Jack Russell Terrier named Izzy. Izzy was diagnosed with a severe heart murmur (Patent Ductus Arteriosus - PDA). We were referred to the University of Minnesota Veterinarian Medical Center and she had to have surgery to correct the murmur or she wouldn't make it to her 1st birthday. Izzy is now 1 and Nationwide along with U of Minnesota Vet Center saved her life. Thanks for making my son and daughter's first puppy a permanent family member. Steve Heydt

My Nationwide policy has protected my financial well-being as much as it has protected my active pooch. She recently was attacked and bitten by another dog, requiring an overnight hospital stay, X-rays, and stitches. I am so grateful for the coverage that helps me rest easy when I need to provide my beloved dog unexpected emergency care. Nationwide reimbursed a significant chunk of the cost quickly and with ease. I think this is how an insurance company ought to work.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
