HIGHLY recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance!

We are VERY happy with Nationwide Pet Insurance. Both of our pets are covered and one of them has had some health issues/illnesses recently. We have been so impressed with the coverage Nationwide has provided. I recommend it to everyone we meet who has a pet - including strangers on the street!! I even posted a comment on my Facebook status about how great Nationwide is.

Very pleased so far!

Willow is the first pet I have had covered with Nationwide, and so far, I am impressed. I have filed 3 claims so far to cover her routine puppy check ups, vaccines, and heartworm preventives, as well as one minor sick claim (parasite treatment) and they have all been covered and paid quickly. If they handle the major claims as fast and well as they cover the well care visits and minor claims, I will be one happy customer for life!

Best Pet Insurance

So glad we got pet insurance through Nationwide. Very easy to submit claims. Good benefit coverage. Our dog got bit twice when she was young and the insurance was a life saver...literally. More recently she had a foxtail removed from her throat. Nationwide covered approximately 80% of the bill.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
