Very smooth process. Fast and easy process for claims!

So far so good. Rate for one year was very reasonable. Not having owned a pet was little confusing but I was able to insure our puppy very easily. I have had several claims and all of them have been paid within 2-3 weeks of submission. Glad, I chose Nationwide!

Thank you for the gift of more time with our sweet girl!

VPI helped cover expensive testing and a procedure that bought us some precious time with our beloved Minnie. The platelet injection in both knees has helped her regain movement in her hind limbs. She is far more active, in much less pain, and is expected to live out her normal lifespan. We had been told prior to the platelet procedure to prepare to say goodbye to her within the next several weeks at the most. Now, we're looking at what could easily turn out to be a few more years. Thank you VPI!!

No hassle for emergency dental

My sweet GSD awoke with a severely swollen face. After rushing to the vet, it’s discovered he has an abscessed canine. Surgery scheduled after beginning antibiotics- vital due to last years cruciate ligament surgery- and tooth removed. No hassle filing for claim. Electronic paid. Simple. We are so pleased with having pet insurance with Nationwide for all 3 of our dogs. It gives us peace of mind that we can provide them with stellar care without losing the house.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
