Nationwide is the best!

April 26, 2018 started like any other day until 11:00 am when Chumlee all of sudden started acting like something was bothering him...by 7:00 pm he was having difficulty walking and by 11:30 pm his back legs were paralyzed this injury fell out of the sky Chumlee has never been sick. The next morning I took him to the vet and they determined it was his back and they thought he had less than 50% chance of walking again and they gave me a referral to NC State University Veterinary Hospital. Once we arrived the ER Doctor gave me the same odds of him walking again. Chumlee was referred to the Neurology service and after a lot of testing the neurologist came out to talk to me and said Chumlee could feel deep pain and his chances of walking again with surgery was 80-90%. his diagnosis was intervertebral disc herniation with spinal cord compression.. He had the surgery and I can happily report he is walking again like nothing ever happened. It's very expensive going to a teaching hospital or any specialty hospital and even though we had to pay for the surgery out of pocket up front thank god we had Chumlee insured with Nationwide Whole Pet with Wellness plan you can't imagine the peace of mind this gave us knowing we didn't have to make the decision that no pet owner wants to make. The total bill for Chumlee was $3542.93 and Nationwide's reimbursement was $3187.92. Nationwide paid this claim in a timely manner without giving us any hassle or questions about the claim. We are proud owners of Chumlee and Nationwide's Whole Pet with Wellness Plan!

Efficent

We have been extremely satisfied with the service. We got a lab puppy and since she was 4 months old we have several claims . Our Vet even send by fax our bill and within a month we have been repaid. I feel very happy with the coverage.
