Easy process to submit and receive payment for claim.

Nationwide has an electronic process to submit a medical claim and receive the reimbursement immediately after approval. This makes this most efficient with the least manual handling. Lastly, they review and communicate claim results in a timely manner. This is my first time with any Nationwide product and I am very satisfied.

Great Service. Great Coverage. Has already paid for itself in coverage

Taji got into something and gave us a real scare when she ran a temperature and wouldn't eat. My little girl wasn't playing or running, just sleeping and moving really slow. On mothers day we took her to the emergency vet to find she had an infection due to her swallowing something and it being lodged in her stomach folds. They had no choice but to open her up and retrieve the obstruction from her stomach. He recovery was quick and she was back to normal within 1 week. We love our Taji and would make the same decision again if we had to. The Monday from her coverage did take a long time to come to us, but we were thankful it covered almost all of her treatments and surgery.

8/10 great!

I am overall very happy with my coverage. I only down rated because my latest claim seems to be taking a good deal longer to process than my other ones. Otherwise, when other pet owners bring up insurance I highly recommend you.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
