Comfort

It’s comforting to know we have a wonderful solid insurance plan on our girl. We don’t have kids and our pets are an extension of us. And it’s nice to know Nationwide has our back should something unexpected arise. I say this after having a cat that had a spiral fracture on a front leg. 3 surgery’s and an amputation later costs a whole lot of bank. But we do this for the beings we love. And since then I knew I’d never not have health insurance on one of our family members.

Good service and good reimbursement

I was encouraged to buy insurance for our new french bulldog, and though I thought the cost was high for the coverage, it has been worth it. It turns out Bella has had many issues growing up, and Nationwide has reimbursed us very well and quickly. We hope Bella outgrows some of her issues, but so glad Nationwide has been there for us. We will contact nuevto use Nationwide for her.

Pet insurance eases financial stress.

I love my PJ with all my heart and I want to be able to provide him with the best care possible. My pet insurance enables me to do this by easing the stress of high vet bills. Between May to June my expenses were approximately $1200.The assistance I received by having insurance was amazing. Thank you.

Wish you were still VPI

Excellent insurance. Just wish you still processed and paid claims as quickly as you did when you were still VPI. Used to have my claims paid in 6-10 days, now it takes over 3 weeks. However that's my only complaint.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
