Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

I am SO happy we have chosen to insure our pet. This is our first experience with having insurance for a pet. Expenses can add up with a pet and it helps to have a little financial help with paying for the medications that keep him healthy.

Easy claim submission and processed quickly. Very happy with service.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans for every pet parent. I have owned dogs my entire life, and some of my pets have had some serious illnesses later in their lives, so pet insurance is a must for my needs. The top level plan at Nationwide is worth the cost and I would rather be safe than sorry having experienced how expensive treatment can be for an elderly pet with a serious illness if you do not have insurance. I now have a new puppy and opted for the best coverage from the get go for prevention and potential future medical issues as pets age. Though this is by no means a major issue, every company can always improve something. I would like to see an improvement in the time to process claims. Presently, my claim experience is about 3 weeks, give or take a few days either way. This current claim is still in process, so my response below is based on previous claims.

Since day 1 I have been highly satisfied with Nationwide insurance. The claim process is so easy with my vet's office faxing the bill right away. Within a couple of days I get an email saying the claim is being processed and within a couple of weeks the check arrives. It's that simple. I have never had a claim questioned let alone rejected.Could't be better than that!

I have had insurance with Nationwide since early on for my pet and as fate would have it, I have had to make claims under the policy. Nationwide has a very efficient claims process. You web site is intuitive and easy to use. Better than many I have seen. I have recommended Nationwide to many friends interested in getting pets. Can't say enough about the company and would never suggest to anyone to go without insurance. .
