Anxiety

Our pup was hit by a car and has required extensive care. I submitted our claims and it took the full 30 days before a decision was made. I was very happy with the end result, but the anxiety of waiting on the claim decision was terrible. I will say that once the initial claim was approved, the following claims related to the incident were approved the same day. However, about 30 days later we discovered another terrible injury relating back to the initial incident. Its been almost three weeks and the anxiety on waiting for that claim decision is back at an all time high.

Caring and easy to submit a claim!

Nationwide is easy to deal with questions, concerns and filing claims. Website is easy to navigate, too. I have recommended them to several friends and family members.

Nationwide helps tremendously with the cost of owning my pets! They are reliable, claims are handles quickly!

I have 2 pups. I have had them both insured with Nationwide as young as 1 year old. Anything I have a questions with I can call, or check the claims on the website. Very easy to. use, and the customer service is impeccable! I always recommend Nationwide for insuring a pet! You cannot be without it!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
