Nationwide is great at paying claims. I have also had great experiences over the phone.

NATIONWIDE PET INS...IS WONDERFUL AND IF I HAVE TO CALL THEM EVERYONE IS ALWAYS SO HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE & FRIENDLY
I LOVE NATIONWIDE/VPI PET INS...I HAVE HAD THIS INS. SINCE MY DOG WAS 3 MONTHS.. HE IS NOW GOING TO BE 13 YEARS OLD IN NOV...THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY EASY TO DEAL WITH AND HELP ME IF I HAD ANY QUESTIONS....THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR ME IS THAT A COMPANY REP KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT (SO MANY REPS AT DIFFERENT KINDS OF COMPANIES ARE NOT VERY HELPFUL THESE DAYS..) ALSO THE REPS AT NATIONWIDE ARE SO FRIENDLY AND CARING.ABOUT ONES PET....

Love my pet insurance
This is my second pet insurance and nationwide makes my life so much easier. I get my money fast with no arguments. My pet is doing much better, she couldn’t open her eye and had green stuff coming out. So I took her right in to her doctor and with some Eye drops in about a week it healed up. Luckily it was only on the surface not any deeper. I never hesitate to take them in because I have the insurance so the situation never gets worse. My pets have better insurance then I do.

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
