I am so happy and relieved to be able to have Weenie covered under Nationwide.

I am happy I made the decision to have pet Insurance with Nationwide for my Weenie. He is covered under the Wellness Plan and Major Medical so he is able to be caught up on his vaccines and yearly check up and has helped Tremendously since he has gotten sick.

I've been very pleased with the injury/accident portion of the coverage so far!

The reason I am giving an 8 on a scale of 1-10 is because the wellness part of my coverage is not what I expected. I am pleased with the injury/accident benefits though. They have covered everything I have submitted thus far. I have been pleasantly surprised!

Quick and easy

I was a long time member of PetPlan. Everytime I had to file a claim with them I could feel my anxiety go up. Would it be approved? Will I have to appeal? Is the customer service going to be terrible? When I filed my first claim with Nationwide, I had concerns it would be the same experience I had with PetPlan. To my surprise, the process was quick and totally painless. Customer service reps were friendly and informative and my claims were reviewed in a timely manner. Dealing with a sick pet is stressful enough, you dont want to have to stress about your insurance plan too and, so far, with Nationwide, you really dont have to. Thank you and I am so so glad I made the switch.

Very happy with Nationwide Insurance

I'm so glad and very happy with Nationwide insurance. I do not need to make decisions regarding my dog's health for financial reasons only medical reasons. I wouldn't be without this insurance.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
