Return on insurance investment

I will say I was somewhat skeptical a few months ago when many of his visits or expenses not qualifying for coverage. The summer appointments associated with his allergies and meds ended up being covered by the majority of costs. It made me 2nd guess wanting to cancel coverage. We will keep the coverage for now as its provided coverage better this year 2.

Great coverage!

My dog broke his paw this year, and my Nationwide coverage covered nearly everything. I'm very glad I decided to keep this insurance this year, and have recommended it to friends and family.

Definitely a great investment!

Nationwide pet insurance (formally VPI) has been the BEST THING that I could have done for my fur babies! If I didn’t have this insurance, I couldn’t properly afford to have fur babies.

Easy and excellent

Our claims for Giggs are so easy to fax in and our returns come quickly. Explanation of benefits are always thorough and when I call with questions I always talk to someone quickly and they are friendly

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
