Reliable and quick! Pre-existings can be frustrating

Have whole pet wellness that includes anything we go to the vet for. Pre-existings can be eligible for removal if 6 months of no treatment. This has been vague for us with gastroenteritis as we had to bring our dog in the first 2 weeks of owning him and was during blackout period. Other than this, any and all claims have been process quickly and the piece of mind of going to the vet regularly has been invaluable. We recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance to everyone.

Great service!

Lucy has the wellness rider and she went in for some routine work at the doctor's office. Your claim department was great and they paid Lucy's claim very quickly. I have tried to get me friends with pets and family members to insure their pets with Nationwide and will continue to do so. Thanks for all you do.

Nationwide is on our side...

I'm really glad we invested in the Nationwide Pet Insurance policy for Otis. It's certainly come in handy when unexpected medical expenses come up. Nationwide makes it easy to file a claim, and their follow-through is much appreciated!

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
