Higher Annual Reimbursement?

Your customer service agents are very professional and I have no issue with your claim processing time and overall administration. You have been very helpful in helping me pay for Sophie's cancer treatment. But from talking to other pet owners who have pet insurance, it seems that some other companies have higher reimbursement rates than you do. That could be an issue with me for any future pet I might adopt.

Overall extremely happy, but wold like more plan options

Nationwide, overall, provides good coverage especially wellness coverage. I'd like to see more plan options that provide more coverage, as close to 100% coverage, with a copay and potentially higher monthly costs for more coverage/reimbursement

I wish my "people" insurance worked as well and as simply as my pet insurance for my dog!

I'm very thankful we have this insurance for my dog, Cody! As I've stated above - it is so great to simply submit a claim, meet the deductible, and then get reimbursed. It is like the "old" days of regular insurance for people, before copays, reductions, in/out of network, reasonable and customary, blah blah blah! It is worth it when things come up, and wellness care is covered, I'm very thankful I have this policy for him! I recommend this covered to anyone and everyone who is a pet owner!

Phenomenal service!

I couldn't be more pleased with the excellent response and customer service from Nationwide related to Onya's claim. The turnaround time from claim to direct deposit of reimbursement was about 3 weeks I will absolutely be renewing my pet insurance for Onya and Ruby, for as long as they are with me, and will enroll any future furbabies with Nationwide. And I'm very impressed also that Nationwide followed up to ask how Onya was doing. Excellent job Nationwide!!! MY health insurance should be so good!!

He is doing a lot better, dermititis seems to be deminishing with the oil based ointment given two weeks ago.

The ointment the Doctor gave me seems to work completely, and if they just would have given me the ointment on my first visit which was already diagnosed as dermetisis, it would have saved me three other trips and saved me money. He is feeling and doing better tho.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
