Very good insurance, painless claim submission process

The insurance is a bit expensive but I haven't had any trouble with getting reimbursed for claims in a reasonable amount of time (10-14 days). Submitting is easy too, on my phone with the app. Overall, very good insurance and I plan to get it again for next year. I recommend this coverage.

Consistently good customer service & claims service that is prompt & dependable!

I’ve been a policyholder for 13+ years now with all of my fur babies and have always been provided with awesome customer service and claims service for my dog and 2 cats. Claims are always processed promptly and any insurance questions I have ever called about were answered clearly and professionally. I highly recommend Nationwide to anyone who has pets.

Gotta have it!

Having pet health insurance through Nationwide was a great decision. A pet's health can be just as uncertain as anyone in our family. Pet health insurance takes the guess work out of "contacting the vet" or "waiting it out". Waiting it out because of anticipating expensive vet bills could put your dog's life at risk. Having nationwide pet insurance takes that concern away.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
