Thank you for helping with Betty’s surgery!
Thank you so much for covering Betty’s surgery! It literally saved her life, and you literally saved me from the brink of bankruptcy. With a new baby, related medical bills and recovery costs, and huge childcare expenses, I had no idea where the money for an emergency surgery would come from.
I’ve insured both of my cats since I got them, because (from a previous cat) I knew that this kind of vet emergency needs protection. You don’t want to be in a position of deciding whether you can afford to save your pet’s life.
I was sooooo relieved to know that she was covered, and surprised that the insurance covered everything after the deductible! I can never tell you what a difference this insurance made in my life this year. Betty is a happy healthy (still ornery) three year old kitty again. Thank you! <3

Best Pet Insurance!
We've had Nationwide pet insurance since our Diesel was 10 weeks old. They've always been reliable and cover exactly what they say they will! The best part is there is no surprises. Would definitely recommend this insurance to anyone who loves their pet!!

Always has our back!
Taking Otis to the vet, especially on an emergency visit, is already a stressful experience. Add in the financial layer and it can quickly become a daunting day. It's incredibly reassuring to know we are covered by Nationwide, and that the claims and payment process and simple and efficient. It's the peace-of-mind we need!

Coverage
Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
