Great service!

Animals are my life. So when my dog got sick I was devasted and not sure how I was going to pay for her vet bills. VPI was awesome and helped pay for a huge chunk of her bill. I feel so grateful to have that worry gone but rather focus on her care. I would highly recommend VPI to anyone who has furry loved ones.

There is a large gap between your marketing of animal insurance and your delivery. All I get is constant denials to vet bills.

I cannot give you anything but a poor review. Any claim sent to you that even remotely relates to allergies, you deny. Animal are like humans in many ways. Their allergies are increasing just as humans. Your insurance is covering minimal animal issues. You are treating it as if it were an insurance policy on a vehicle. An insurance company that has experience in auto, home and commercial property insurance does not have the knowledge or experience in animal insurance.

Great coverage

I have been very happy with this pet insurance. The claims have been paid accurately. This only criticism is that payment reimbursement from the company usually is about a month---wish it was quicker.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
