Stress free experience

It's nice to see that our pet insurance really cares for the well being of our pet. Its unfortunate that our dog, Sparrow, has had the complications he's had in the past 2 years, but at the same time it's pleasing to know he's in good hands with Nationwide.

They have gone above and beyond my expectations.

I do wish your auto insurance were just as good as your pet insurance. ha ha Gizmo was not ill it was a wellness check. I do wish you had a place in case of my death to allow someone else to be a surrogate parent in case I pass before my pets.

Extremely pleased with my new Nationwide policy

I’m so glad I got this policy, I have never had a pet insurance policy before and I definitely chose the right company. great customer service, great website, great app and they stepped right up to the plate with coverage the first accident with my dog.

A must have for all pet owners

Having this insurance has been a life - saver. Our puppy is a bit stubborn and has gotten into some trouble in his 1st year with us. Thankfully, the insurance has helped us w subsidize most of the vet costs, including a major surgery. It would've been much more of a hardship without it.

Wonderful insurance experience

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
