Nationwide Came through when we needed it

My dog Jackson ate grass to the point that it became impacted in his stomach and he needed immediate surgery. Including x-rays and surgery the bill was over $6,000 Nationwide reimbursed me over $2,000. A nice help in a stressful/expensive time. Exceeded our expectations!

Very Pleased

This year was the first time I had to send in a claim that would require a refund. The first claim deducted my co-pay and reimbursed me for what was left that was covered. The second claim reimbursed me fully for everything that was covered. Both claims were processed in a very timely manner and I received my reimbursement check in a few weeks. I’m very pleased with how the entire process went. I didn’t have to worry about denying Bailey a treatment that would have been too costly for me to pay out of pocket.

No hassle claims, good service

This is the first time I've had pet insurance and I have to say it's been a pleasant experience so far. Claims are handled fast, I can e-mail them (very few people use a fax and fewer still have a landline) and know they'll be reviewed promptly. When I called to get a quote reps were personable, warm, and made sure I understood my different options. I certainly wasn't pressed into choosing the most expensive plan, which I appreciate. I am keeping the plan next year, so that decision speaks for itself.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
