Great coverage

Nationwide has wonderful coverage for all the issues I have had with my 3 cats. I usually get back 80% of what I paid to vet it even more. The only thing not covered is expensive medication for Hoku that costs over $40/month. I was told there is a yearly limit of $30/ year as it’s an anti anxiety drug and even though I thought I had gotten coverage for “ behavioral issues” when I increased my coverage this year I was told it isn’t covered. This is the only problem I have with this great insurance.

Dependability & reliable, creates a comfort for us from you!

Having an English Bulldog leads to various health issues. Wehave been very lucky with Blue but have recently started to tackle his allergies. We hope we have found some solutions. It is comforting to know Nationwide has never given us any issues or problems. They have been a blessing to us. At times we feel bad to submit a claim and sometimes don't because we feel so humble That Nationwide is always there for us. We constantly recommend Nationwide on all the community and social media groups and boards we belong to. We don't know know how we could continue to give Blue all the care he needs without them.

Cancer Claim

Wish that more of claim was paid. With initial diagnosis and tests, biopsy, and cancer surgery - there should have been a way to claim more on insurance. We paid majority of the overall costs. (over $4000 out of pocket). Maybe it is the way that it was written by doctor or maybe it just is overall per year. Not sure.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
