Great service!

Our claim was paid promptly and as expected! I would gladly recommend nationwide pet insurance to our friends and family. It was one less thing to worry about during a stressful situation.

Best investment ever!

This is the best investment for our dogs care. This helps us when making decisions on her medical care. It takes the cost out of the factor for us to be able make decisions on her care. Will never be without pet insurance.

Kittens spay and neuter covered!

After summing up my vet bills from my previous feline companion that lived 18 years it was clear to me that pet insurance should be looked into when I decided to introduce a couple of kittens into my life. After choosing the full coverage option with Nationwide it came time to see what I'd signed up for when the kittens we're of age to have spayed and neutered. 90%! 90%! I knew those were the words on paper (with a couple of very minor caveats), but I cynically expected less. I highly recommend Nationwide. It is so comforting to know my furry family members' health needs are in good hands.

Great Service; Working as promised

We began with Nationwide with our puppy's first vet visit. Dinky is now 2+ years old. We are full time RVers and travel extensively during the summers. Thus, we visit a different vet each time we have a vet issue during the summer. Never an insurance problem. Easy insurance forms. Great service. Insurance works as advertised. We have recommended Nationwide to many others.

I can afford it!

I have always thought of pet insurance as a luxury. But, when I decided to get a puppy I knew the first year would be the most expensive. I found Nationwide through my employer and compared to other pet insurance companies, Nationwide was lower in cost and with more coverage. The best thing about having pet insurance is that I don't have to choose between paying my bills or paying for my pet's health, I can have both!

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
Since 1982, Nationwide has helped pet owners protect what matters most. Policies range from nose-to-tail coverage to routine pet care plans that offer reimbursement for wellness exams and preventive treatments.
