So thankful we had Insurance for Ni!

I wasn't sure about getting insurance on our young dog. Decided to do so for 2019 and so thankful I did! As puppies do, he ended up getting into something that required surgery and several appointments. He's doing much better now! Nationwide Pet Insurance was fabulous! I've already been reimbursed for my claims and everything was explained well. Took the stress out of the situation by knowing insurance covered so much of the cost.

Nationwide is there for my boy!

Emmett has been struggling with giardia as a new puppy but nationwide helped me cover the costs of his treatment and he finally beat it, thanks!

Reasonable turn aroun

I appreciate the coverage provided by Nationwide....the only frustration I have had is in processing communication for claims. While the time is a little long, I understand the 30 days. But there is a frequent lack of information through that 30-day process and finding information is difficult. More clear communication on where claims stand and what is happening would be helpful. Right now, if the claim is rejected...I won't know until the end of the 30 days.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
