Amazing
The comfort in knowing I have Nationwide Pet Insurance is the best feeling when emergencies arise or for any care. They are true to their word. The claims process and payment system is quick and efficient. I just wish they would pay directly to the Vet office.

Super easy to do a claim!
Have never had any issues with any claims I’ve done. The app is very helpful in submitting claims and super easy and fast to get our reimbursement.

Very difficult
The first customer service rep did not listen to one thing that i said to her in regards to my claim. In fact she actually talked down to me on some of the line items that i did not understand. Before I called i had spoken to my Vet who had told me that the charges were incorrect and that many of the non-covered charges were for the teeth cleaning and not the growth removal. I did speak to a supervisor who told me that they would review the claim again and get back to me in 30-days.

you make my vet jump through hoops to get payments. RIDICULOUS
I was please with one of the bills you recently paid. Today i received a call from the vet because you are questioning a procedure my little girl needs to have due to her 3rd UTI. My only care is my little girl is happy and healthy this type of back and forth is unsettling. If i knew today what I see from your services i never would have chosen Nationwide. Truly disappointing.
I would like to know who reviews the claims is it a MED doctor ? IN human insurance we have rights and can request the medical directors input , not someone who is trained to read from a script and decide an outcome for a patient of yours. This truly is shame how you treat your customers. I would like a manger to follow up with me in regards to any outstanding claims and see what the issues are you are finding a reason not to cover her health needs.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
