My dogs care was spectacular and he’s recovering well post surgery

My GSD is now recovering from his 2nd cruciate ligament surgery, made possible due to having insurance with Nationwide. He’s had their insurance since he was a puppy, as have all our dogs. The peace of mind makes pet insurance worth the dollars we pay.

Pet insurance you can trust

This is the only pet insurance that pays you back % of your claim. However, the processing of claims is too long given that everything can be done electronically. I also didn't appreciate when renewal time rolled around, the premium had gone up $25 per month. Although they say its not based on the amount of claims you have, no other reason makes sense. My hope is that this won't become cost prohibitive as my 3yr old dog ages and I have to cancel the policy. I am happy with the service, just a couple of tweets are in order.

We really love VPI/Nationwide.

VPI/Nationwide is always there for us and we don't have to worry about the cost. We have been patient parents of Nationwide for almost 12 years now. You really helped our previous shepherd with her medical costs and now covering our cost for Champagne Bubbles, our shepherd. Thank you for all you do. I have also used the doctor talk line and they were very helpful. It is nice to know that in the middle of the night, I can call someone that is knowledgeable and will help us. Keep doing what you are doing. If I had one suggestion, it would be to consider covering major things like spay/neuters, hip dysplasia etc, even if just a small percentage of the cost.

Nationwide Pet Insurance is AWESOME!!!

Not enough paws to tell Nationwide Pet Insurance how much they are appreciated by Honor, our little minidachs(teckel). He took Winners his last show and next month we plan to start working on his majors again in York, PA. Honor came to us from Houston, TX. He is a lovely red smooth with much black overlay so he looks smokey to black. He came to us with hookworms from Brazil (worked their way up to the Houston area.) It took a year and a half to kill them. He had an emergency and we had to have him treated because of an abscessed anal gland that nearly exploded. All of our teckels have been been bitches and they all let us know if they needed expressing by scooting. Honor, our first dog, did not. He started licking and when checked, we found out his way of speak about the problem. At each event, we incurred large expense and each time our fabulous pet insurance generously covered Honor. We spent Christmas Eve at the Emergency Hospital. Honor was walking in our park (on leash, of course) but there was strong wind that blew a limp leaf the size of a dinner plate dead on to his face. He acted stunned, but it was dark and rainy. The next morning he had a golf ball sized abscess under his eye beside his nose. Spiders often live on leaves in trees. The young vet performed lavage and said he didn't think it was car nasal. Teeth looked fine; no bad breath (we brush his teeth.) It turned out to be a bite from a large spider. It is now becoming hard to see where the two fangs injected the venom so we can probably show Honor by next month. Once more, we were reimbursed by this super pet insurance. Thank you many times over to the wunderbar staff at Nationwide Pet Insurance. Bless you all! I have recommended you everywhere we go.
