I am so happy I found nationwide for my dogs insurance! It has helped me in so many ways.
My dog has pancreatitis and often has flare ups so we end up at her vet if possible or at an emergency hospital... nationwide is the best choice I made for insurance for my baby... they are always there and help with most of her medical expenses

Lifesaving service!
I have been a customer since VPI (now Nationwide) pet insurance was first offered and have insured many dogs over the years. The peace of mind alone is worth the cost, but the fact that it has saved and/or extended the lives of a number of my dogs...priceless.
HINT: Create an ID tag for your pet that includes "I AM INSURED", your policy number, and Nationwide's toll-free number. If your pet is injured, you are unreachable by phone at the moment, and he/she is wearing such a tag the chances of immediate medical treatment increase greatly.

Good insurance - trouble getting paid
The insurance is excellent and covers a multitude of preventive and other medical issues, however I received a reimbursement over a week ago and my bank still hasn't released the money. I received notice from them stating that the check may not be paid. I am still waiting for my reimbursement to post to my account.

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
