Very corporate, very efficient, not much heart

Was a better company when it was VPI without Nationwide. Service is good. Cost is in the ballpark of other company's. Way too many exclusion's and liimitation's on care. My dog is too old to switch to another company with better benefits but i probably will leave you folks after he is gone. That i have to pay the first $100 is also really a put off. Why not just charge me instead of sneaking it in and making your product look cheaper.. Maybe i would recommend you guys, but it would be along with a few others. My Humane Society has a better plan than yours that they offer when you adopt.

Highly Recommend Nationwide Pet to all Greyhound owners!

Anyone who owns a greyhound knows how think their skin is. You hear about greyhounds having "tissue paper" thin skin. But you don't really comprehend what that means until you get a greyhound! I have both of my hounds insured with Nationwide Pet Insurance. It's been a great investment and really comes in helpful when those accidents happen. I love that they cover wellness and that can apply to the deductible. The coverage on this policy is pretty generous as well. It does not have some exclusions that are common in other policies. Which is great when you have an active or working dog. Thank you Nationwide Pet for putting together such an awesome policy to help protect our greyhounds. Thank you for the knowledgeable staff and great service. I highly recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance to all greyhound owners!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
