Great insurance, slow claims process
I’m generally pleased with the insurance, but 30 days to process claims seems a bit long.

Nationwide Pet Insurance saves lives.
Thanks to Nationwide, I do not hesitate for an instant to get the care my dog needs when she is sick and when she needs a wellness check, just as I would for any of my human family.

You are miserably slow reviewing and paying claims. Your rep lied to me on prior conditions and coverage. BAIT AND SWITCH!

Always There
Nationwide has really been there for our Family. We love and adore our dog who also serves as a Therapy animal for me. I can honestly say caring for a pet is quite expensive. Having insurance that understands that is all the rage! Thank you guys so much for your kindness.

EASY!
It is so easy to file a claim! And, I like the confirmation of receipt of my claim then email of EOB.

Coverage
Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
