Slow claim proccessing
Insurance is good for wellness. I gave a low score because it takes them over 30 days to process claims. Other carriers are much less.

I highly recommend pet insurance for all pet owners... It is worth every penny when it comes to your pets health and well-being. It also helps you as a pet owner to have peace of mind in knowing that can afford to give your pet the extraordinary care it deserves. This insurance is better than the insurance I have on myself!

Excellent service and a Godsend to have!
Henry got sick and we found out he had a mass on his spleen that was bleeding out. He had surgery to remove the spleen and also a mass on his liver. Surgery went great and he is back home and feeling great thanks to the vet. Needless to say the surgery and post op care he received was expensive but thanks to having the pet insurance through Nationwide we were able to get Henry the care he needed and our costs were reduced significantly. Pet insurance through Nationwide has helped both of our pets through surgeries and well care checkups. It is well worth the costs and I highly recommend anyone that loves their pet and wants to keep them in the best of health sign up for the Nationwide Pet Insurance. They made a high difference in our decision on our pets care. Thanks Nationwide!

Not the quickest of settlements.
It seems like when Nationwide took over my previous insurance, claims were settled within a couple of weeks, Now it seems to take forever for claims to be paid. Not the way I would like to see it.

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
