We are SO THANKFUL for Nationwide Pet Insurance

We are so grateful for Nationwide Pet Insurance. This is the best insurance we could ask for our VERY IMPORTANT family member Stanley. We treat him like we treat ourselves and view this as health insurance for Stanley. Forever and always we recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance.

Disappointed

I was very disappointed that I wasn't able to upgrade my dog's insurance due to her having allergies. There are so many other medical issues she could have and be covered for, but she was permanently denied. Unfortunately we have had to cancel her insurance policy renewal in favor of a company that will provide full coverage. It is discouraging given the fact we have used Nationwide pet insurance for years and were hoping to add two more pets, but I was also informed that pricing has greatly increased which is not possible for us to afford.

Thank you for being so helpful!

I'm always distressed when my puppy is ill. And that usually means a hefty vet bill as well. Nationwide is a great insurance - you consider everything on the easily submitted bill. And you are very reasonable in reimbursement. I really feel that Nationwide cares for me and my dog. Thanks for easing my distress - both with my puppy's illness and the bill!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
