Insurance as it should be

I've submitted several claims for my dog over the past two years of his life and I have not once has an eyelash batted at a claim. I submit it through the app, get confirmation that they're looking at it and the response is way under 30 days and the coverage is what my plan says. I highly recommend this company especially after hearing so many horror stories from friends that have other insurances.

Lifesaver

Our decision to rush our pet to the Emergency in the middle of the night was truly a lifesaver for our pet having not to worry about the finances at a time when we could not afford that option. Because we have Nationwide covering our backs, we would not have thought otherwise and it turned out to be a lifesaver for our beloved family member. Thank you Nationwide for the excellent support and ease of the claim process. We never would have thought that emergency could come at the wrong time and at the worst financial situation but there you were covering us when we needed it most. Thank You!

Rude customer service and process for claims is slow and archaic

takes an average of 30 days to process claims, the website does not provide any added value when trying to look up claims from last month and very snotty representatives when i call asking questions. i am so sorry to be a bother, guess i need to take my business elsewhere.

Wonderful peace of mind with pet insurance

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
