I wish I had taken pet insurance out on my first 2 dogs!!
I wish I had taken pet insurance out on my first 2 dogs. Luckily, we have had no major issues to date, but we are so glad that we have the insurance in place in case we ever need it!

Lightning fast refund!
Excellent speed and service. The first claim was a bit different, it took a couple of months. However, this claim took less than a week to be refunded from the time I sent the fax. We are so appreciative of this coverage, as we bought a dog from a breeder who apparently had questionable breeding practices, and she ended up developing juvenile cateracts (a genetic trait) within a year after we adopted her. Although they could only do surgery one eye, she can at least see now! Her quality of life is greatly increased from this surgery and we are so grateful that we had Nationwide pet insurance, otherwise we may not have been able to afford it. She is spunkier than ever now!

Easy To Deal With
I signed up for Nationwide a couple of days after taking Carlton home from the breeder. Dealt with several medical challenges our first year. Nationwide processed each claim expeditiously. The vet helpline I used a couple of times and it was great. I have become a HUGE fan and tell pet owners each week that they should insure their dog with Nationwide.

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
