Peace of mind
I always have peace of mind whenever there is something wrong with my dog, because I know I can take him to the Vet no matter what. In the past I would hold off because of cost, and that would result in the dog sometimes getting worse . I had never thought about getting insurance for my dogs because I would listen to others saying it was not worth it. But now I will never, not get it for my dogs! It has been the best thing I have done in a long time. So worth it! Also I use the Vet helpline every once in a while which comes in handy during after hours for something minor that might be going on with the dog. I'm a huge fan, and tell anyone I can how great it is to have!

Insurance seems to be efficient. There is a little bit of a wait but they do send the checks out.

Pleasantly surprised
In the very beginning, my experience with Nationwide was “iffy.” My “cat-child” had gotten an improper diagnosis from a vet fresh out of school (it happens), and I had a time with them removing the umbrella/stigma of that diagnosis once I switched to a more seasoned and knowledgeable vet who reassured me & NW that Pancake was healthy. After we got past that issue, they have been very easy to work with and whenever there has been a claim filed, I have been quite pleased with what they have reimbursed me. I tell other colleagues who are considering signing up for the coverage it has absolutely been a positive experience for us!

Piece of Mind
It gives great piece of mind to know that you have help in time of need with finances if your fur-baby is in need of medical treatment. Vets can be very expensive and Nationwide is always their doing their part. Great coverage and great communication.

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
