So glad we did this for our dogs.

Last year, our older dog Sweet Pea, 13 at the time, had to undergo very expensive pin point radiation treatments daily for 4 weeks. It was so expensive but we were reassured of a positive prognosis. It is the 1 yr. anniversary of those treatments and our old girl is going strong. Our VPI/Nationwide Insurance certainly helped to defray much of the cost. This past Spring, our lovely Ginger became ill. Just as one issue was treated, another cropped up. She struggled to hang on and stay with us but by June 1st she let us know that she could go no further. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge early on the morning of June 1st. Again, VPI/Nationwide did not hesitate to help cover the many tests, X-rays, ultrasounds that were necessary to determine the cause of her health deterioration. Over the years, we have recommended this pet insurance to many of our friends and will continue to do so.

All pets need pet insurance

I had pet insurance on my previous dog and it was helpful to cover costs of vaccines, routine care and surgery when he was older. It gave me peace of mind. When we got our new puppy, we got pet insurance again. I didn’t think we would really need it until he was older, but in the first year, he contracted parvovirus (mild case as he had been vaccinated) and ended up in the ICU at the emergency vet. He since had an ACL replaced and most recently lipoma surgery. What would have been a financial and emotional event in our lives was lessened by having this insurance. When my dog had complications from his lipoma surgery, Kathleen (awesome customer service rep) had us send all his records and we received even more funds back than we expected. I highly recommend this for all pets as you never know what might happen.

I have had Nationwide coverage for my dog since he was 4 months old. Best investment ever! Nationwide has been wonderful in settling my claims and has really made keeping my dog well much easier. He has had numerous health problems, mainly allergies, since he was a pup, and Nationwide has made it possible to get the best care possible for him. I have recently enrolled my new pup with Nationwide, and look forward to great coverage for her, also.
