Easy and convenient process

My boy has a skin allergy. We don’t know why this happened to him but Nationwide has done a tremendous job in helping us keep him comfortable. The claim process is easy to use and quick to pay. No complaints!!

Not what I expected

Your coverage is very unclear. You say you pay for flea and tick preventatives, but when I submitted a claim for a 6 month supply (and even used a coupon to get a reduced rate from the vendor) you only paid $75. What's with that? I'm really not sure about whether to stick with Nationwide. I joined to get wellness and other coverage, but the coverage I have on my other Dane (major medical only) paid out a $4800 claim within 3 days of my filing it. It takes 3 weeks for you to get back to me to tell me you need more documentation... Just not what I expected from Nationwide.

Nationwide comes thru for Bruno!

Receipt of the claim and reimbursement for Bruno was very quick and we appreciate it. I would like to see Nationwide decrease their monthly premiums. They are higher than other insurance companies.

Awesome Pet Insurance!

Nationwide pet insurance is super awesome! I’m so thankful to have this fantastic coverage for my fur baby. She has been hospitalized twice in the last few months and Nationwide pet insurance really helped to ease our stress in these emergencies by providing amazing coverage! Highly recommended! I tell all pet parents about it!!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
