If anyone remembers the Lone Ranger TV series, he righted wrongs and rode off without taking credit. But Nationwide-you should take credit From the outset of coverage, claims handling for our somewhat accident-prone Princess Doobs (Lucky Doobie-perhaps a misnomer) remains stellar. She's 3 yrs and 7 mos now and coverage started at 12 weeks of age, so that's a good time frame in which to present a consistent track record, which Nationwide has done. Prompt, easy, and with follow-up. Beats my healthcare coverage, leaving us to ask, "Who was that masked man?". Instead of the TV answer of someone saved, "Does this silver bullet tell you anything?" Dobbie's folks say, "Does this prompt & direct deposit reimbursement tell you anything?" It does. Hooray Nationwide.

Customer service worked for 3 weeks and called me twice with updates to solve a problem. They called me!!!! I did not have to pursue them.

My claim for several vet visits, tests and medications was processed easily and quickly. The explanation of benefits is a little hard to understand, though. But since the total reimbursement seemed fair, I didn’t ask for clarification.

THE ONLY THING I WOULD WANT CHANGED TO MAKE THIS A BETTER EXPERIENCE IS THAT THIS INSURANCE BE HANDLED LIKE OUR INSURANCE. I DON'T LIKE THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY IN FULL UP FRONT. I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT BUT PAYING OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS UP FRONT IS NOT EASY AND I AM SURE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ALOT OF DOG OWNERS. I SUGGEST NATIONWIDE LOOK INTO PAYING THE VET DIRECTLY TO HELP EASE THE PAIN. AS IT IS, IT'S DIFFICULT DEALING WITH A SICK OR HURT PET AND HAVING TO WORRY IF YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PAY FOR SERVICES NEEDED.
