Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

I cannot possibly say enough good things about Nationwide pet insurance! We have an 11 month old Great Dane, who unfortunately had a leg accident a few months ago. Nationwide covered the percentage they promised, plus all of his wellness checks and vaccines to date! I researched a ton of pet insurance companies, and no one comes close to the value and quality of Nationwide!

This is the one thing you hope you never need but are so glad to have it. I brought my puppy home January 2018, his problems started in May with pain in his neck/back. 3 visits to the vet in a week, no idea the cause but steroids helped. September same thing, again steroids helped but he was still in pain. I tried acupuncture & laser therapy to no avail. Meantime, he had surgery for swallowing an entire toy. 2 days after that he spent a night in the ER. He saw a neurologist in Nov 18 and she was able to diagnose him right away & he's been treated monthly since. He also swallowed 2 socks, needed an endoscopy. Due to his back issues, his skin started to calcify so he's now also seeing a dermatologist. Nationwide has covered all of it per terms of my plans. 90% after deductible. They have always paid within 30 days. Submitting a claim is so easy, you can do it via email. I have not once had an issue or been denied. Having this insurance has made a huge difference for me & my dog. He is on the road to recovery on all his issues and Nationwide's service and cost makes me not hesitate to recommend them anywhere. I've been told by many others they have pet insurance but it never pays for anything. I am so relieved I am with Nationwide & I don't have to worry about making health decisions for my dog based on cost (though I do try to save whenever I can).

I have had to submit several claims for my puppy. Some standard visits, one a sick visit. It is so easy to submit a claim online and I have always gotten a quick response and payment.

I recommend Nationwide to everyone getting a pet. My husband and I have been so pleased with the coverage. We have two dogs and one of them has had some serious, costly problems. Nationwide has fulfilled its promise.

I'm so glad that I purchased this insurance. It's easy to submit a claim and the refund was fast. When my dog became ill, he needed me to be able to focus on him, not just worry about how I was going to be able to pay for treatment. Nationwide made that possible and he is improving. Facing a large, unexpected bill was scary and without the insurance, I don't know if the outcome would have been this good. If you want to be able to make decisions about your pet's health based on what is best for him/her and not based on cost alone, this is the answer.
