My favorite pet insurance... but now monthly payment jumped to an additional $20 per month and we have to say Good Bye

I have loved being part of this insurance group for my dog, Earl. All has been great. But now we jumped to almost $80 per month on my last renewal and that is out of my budget. I shopped around and found the same policy (apples to apples) and have to leave Nationwide. It was a great five years but time to go... good luck! I hope I receive the same excellent service from my new insurance carrier.

Unfortunate that you don't cover for a previous condition dog had once before ,i.e. ear infection

It is helpful to have pet insurance to lighten the load. Nationwide has been supportive in guiding us through the claims process and respond rather quickly letting us know when the claim reached them and how to track its status.

Attitude of Gratitude

Nationwide is the best gift my Mom has given me. I have been able to get my Mazie the care she needs and keep her healthy and happy. The claim process is so easy and the reimbursement is quick and generous. I am a Vet Tech and encourage customers to purchase this insurance for their pets. Awesome insurance, ease of use and customer service. Well done Nationwide!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
