Nationwide has covered my pets great!

I have had all 5 of my Great Danes on Nationwide Pet insurance. They have been great at covering my babies and it has truly helped us financially. I would highly recommend them.

Pet insurance was completely worth it.

Was easy to file the claim and the reimbursement check was prompt. Was totally worth having.

Would That Human Health Insurance Were This Good!

Nationwide Pet Insurance stands head and shoulders above other available pet insurances! This insurance isn't cheap (I have the total coverage, which only excludes food and grooming). At the moment, we just about break even in terms of premium cost versus health care reimbursement for my two three-year-old Shih Tzus. However, this insurance will prove INVALUABLE when my dogs get older and have more costly health problems! Nationwide pet insurance is truly in a class by itself!

Glad You Were There

Having a sick pet is difficult. Having medical insurance for him really made the issue much easier. Claim was very easy to submit. Refund was quick in coming.

Pet Insurance

Nationwide is very good the only issue we have with them is that we had approximately $1600 worth of claims last year so they increase our premium by over $50 a month seems a little steep to us

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
