Nationwide was Awesome in reimbursing after Yogi's surgery.

Yogi are a corn cob which was stuck in his intestine. He received x-rays, ultrasound (3) ,extensive blood work before determining what was necessary. He had major surgery to remove the blockage. After surgery he got an infection in his intestinal track. He has been through such a painful and long ordeal. The bills were extensive.Nationwide has paid 90% of the cost within days of submitting the claims. Highly recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance.

With your support, our vet has been able to help Prospero recover from his life-threatening condition and he continues to treat his ongoing skin sensitivity allergies, stool-softening needs and urinary tract issues. Nationwide pet insurance is the best!

My first time having a “special needs” animal. One of my cats has had significant health issues and was recently diagnosed with severe environmental and food allergies requiring ongoing testing and treatment. I couldn’t have done it without Nationwide pet insurance. It’s been a blessing and helped cover some of the costs of his care. Best decision I ever made was to get insurance on my cats! Worth the expense for sure.

Very happy to have coverage for my cat

Very happy to have coverage for my cat and never hesitate to take her in to the vet when she has an issue with her eye. Nationwide's handling of the claim was exemplary.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
