Smooth and worry-free!

The entire process has been very smooth so far. Having this insurance for my cats gives a great comfort and relief. The claim process can’t be smoother. I love using the app to submit the claim. I have been recommending to my friends and colleagues who have pets.

I know that when I take my dog to the vet, I feel secure since I have Nationwide Pet Insurance.

Nationwide handled my pet insurance claim quite kly and efficiently. I used the 24 hour Vetline, which is free with my policy. I feel comfortable being able to take my dog to the vet and emergency clinic of my choice. I already had eight years experience with Nationwide for another pet. So I was confident in signing up our second dog earlier this year. Thanks so much!

Wonderful customer service, prompt review of claims, available 24/7.

This if first year to participate with this insurance program and so far great company to work with. Their customer service is awesome (available 24/7) very good at explaining policies, coverage, claims, processes. With pet care expenses I found this to be very helpful to ensure my pets are healthy and the cost is managed.

Great plan; would be better if it could be paid directly by insurance vs. having to cover costs out of pocket.

The insurance is solid. I believe there are some plans that allow for payment to be paid directly to the provider by the plan first. This avoids the owner having to pay out of Pocket. Not sure how this works but would allow for greater flexibility and would probably increase those getting covered.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
