Thank you for asking about Fred

Thank you so much for checking in on Fred's surgery recovery. He had 14 teeth removed and 2 skin lesions. He is learning to eat with the 18 teeth he has remaining.

Really didn’t come through when we needed them

We have a Major medical plan for our pup and really had no issues with it until we actually really needed it. We were extremely disappointed with the coverage for her rattlesnake bite. It’s hard to believe that that’s the amount allotted for something that critical. When I called and talked to a rep. about it, I had to point out the amount allotted for anti venom and had I not done that, we wouldn't have even gotten that money back. It made feel frustrated and left me feeling extremely unsure that our claim was even processed correctly.

Nationwide IS on my side!

I’ve had pet insurance since 2013. Truthfully, and much to my regret, I rarely utilized the insurance...HUGE MISTAKE! My pet required surgery for a torn acl & meniscus. Needless to say that procedure was costly. However thanks to my pet insurance all I had to pay was the deductible. The premiums are reasonable & manageable. The customer service care is outstanding. No lack of communication...I love that. I’ve been telling all my pet owner friends about Nationwide Pet Insurance. I also put a policy on my other pet. No clue why I hadn’t done that before. Anyway, my experience with Nationwide and filing claims has been pretty darn good! I look forward to a long relationship with the company. None of my dogs will ever go w/o this pet insurance again. Coupled with Major Medical Plus the Wellness Rider is awesome. Thanks Nationwide for really being on my side.

Fales advertising

I purchased my policy on the basis of rosy promises of the agent and after reading these reviews. I was very forthcoming about my dog's pre existing condition. My vet's invoice was very clear about which portion was attributable to the pre-existing condition. But Nationwide is trying to attribute every other line item to the ore-existing condition, including standard post neutering pain medication. They also couldn't be bothered to reach out to my vet for medical records. I
