Difficult to work with
I have had many claims denied because they needed more info. When I submitted the claim again with additional information, it was denied again due to being submitted multiple times. I almost decided not to bother submitting claims anymore due to the difficulty I experience in submitting them. Additionally, the claim submitting process is a pain. It would be great if we could just upload documents right to the website. Prior to coming to Nationwide, I used Pets Best insurance. I switched due to getting coverage through my employer but I wish I hadn't. If I had done more research into the claim submitting process prior to switching to Nationwide, I would have stayed with Pets Best. Now I can't switch back because anything that is currently covered will become a pre-existing condition.
I will say that once I finally did get some claims approved, the payment process was simple, although I wish they could deposit directly to me instead of going through Chase Payments.
