Getting Nationwide Pet Insurance on my new puppy was one of the best things I did all year.

Best Pet Insurance, EVER

We have not had one minute of dissatisfaction since we purchased the insurance. Things are more expensive when you have a giant breed dog like we have. Everything gets multiplied because of the size of the dog and not once have we had a claim denied. I had occasion one time to call about a claim, and it was because of the way I erroneously reported the claim. The customer service agent I spoke to was so helpful and patient with me and explained everything for me and actually fixed the problem on the phone. It was the best and most helpful I've ever encountered. I recommend Nationwide every time someone asks about pet insurance.

Prompt freimbursement

Our first experience with Nationwide was NOT good!! Took WEEKS to get partially reimbursed, so I was anticipating more of the same with her recent surgery. Much to my surprise and gratitude, claim was paid in a week!! VERY impressive! Thanks you, Nationwide, for handling this claim the way I thought it would be handled when I chose Nationwide for Libby's insurance.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
