Ease of submitting claims

Overall I am happy with my insurance and submitting claims is easier than i thought. I take a picture of the invoice and receipt and submit the form online. Its that easy. Payout is quick and they keep you up to date step by step.

Reimbursements do help with vet costs

If I didn't have so many animals to insure I would upgrade my program to include routine health check ups and shots since those are large bills. They also seem very finicky about "pre existing" injuries/conditions. If my dog hurt his rear left leg two years ago and it healed, I do not see why any future leg injuries on any legs are not covered. Also one of my 8 year old cats had urinary issues 6 years ago and I give him special food now so no problems. I don't see why future problems would not be covered as it would be a new occurrence. However, one of my cats had a chronic ear infection that lasted a year, and the majority of the costs were covered which really helped

Horrible insurance

I would never recommend nationwide pet insurance for anybody. I pay over $600 a year and my dog had pneumonia and had to go into a 24 hour hospital for six days to be on oxygen otherwise he would have died and I was only reimbursed $300. I find that to be absolutely disgusting and I can’t wait to get out of this insurance and go somewhere else and I recommend that no one take this insurance and I have been making sure That I have left things on Facebook which people have shared about the awful experience that I had with nationwide when I had over $5000 vet bill for a dog with pneumonia that would’ve died if he wasn’t in a 24 hour care vet hospital and I only get $300 in reimbursement when I have been with you since he was a baby which was four years ago. Unfortunately it renewed in May but I am going to fight to get out of this because it is not worth the money and they pay crap when you’re dog is sick. I am absolutely disgusted with this company

Such a relief that we have the insurance!

When we got our little girl, she was a rescue. We had no idea her age or even if she was fixed! My friend recommended insurance for her and I cannot say what a great thing that has been. Sansa got a cold and she was very sick. We took her right in, had her tests and got her medicine. I filed the claim and our reimbursement came very quickly. We were also able to get her spayed at a very reputable vet without the worry that it would break our budget. The plan we have selected is great and I love having the piece of mind that she's covered if something happens to her. Thank you for making the process easy.
