Pleasantly Surprised!
Under general anesthesia, Lily came through dental cleaning and scraping, as well as two tooth extractions without any post operative adverse effects. She was a bit subdued when we brought her home late in the day the procedure was done, but was pretty much her old self the next day. She completed the full one week course of clindamycin and Rimadyl. Lily's teeth are now as white as they were when she was a puppy. There are no signs of the periodontal disease that was very obvious prior to the procedure. We knew that this procedure was very necessary, but we kept putting it off, given that Lily is 9+ years old.
In addition to an excellent "patient" outcome, we were very surprised to find that our pet insurance covered a majority of the anesthesia and surgical expenses. Being able to complete and submit Lily's claim via smartphone was easy and efficient. The turnaround time for the processing of the claim exceeded our expectations. All in all, we were very satisfied with the entire experience.
