Having Nationwide Pet Insurance has enabled us to provide the best care and treatment of the medical issues we have experienced with our cats and dog. The claim process is easy to work through and reimbursements for treatments can be made electronically.

Great support

Thanks so much for the wonderful support and quick turn around time. Our bulldog Mabel has been fighting pneumonia for over a month which has included a lot of follow up vet visits and antibiotics. We’ve received prompt turn-around on our claims and support for our continued treatment!

Excellent

I can't say enough good things about the service I have received through Nationwide. I have never had pet insurance for any of my dogs in the past and was hesitant to get it. I decided to get it just to be safe. My lab is only 10 months old and I have already had 2 claims that were covered. The claims were easy to submit and quickly taken care of. I have already referred 2 of my friends to Nationwide and would highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

No hassle insurance

Very good insurance, although not cheap. I have had no hassles with any transactions. Customer service is knowledgeable and helpful. Claims process is very simple with the app. Claims are usually settled in less than 10 days. Highly recommended if you can afford it. Price increase of 75% was a hard hit, but again, no hassles with claims.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
