Excellent

I have peace of mind having pet insurance for the first time. I have had a lot of dogs in my past and I have spent several thousands of dollars keeping them healthy and safe. It is comforting when the vet tells you something is wrong and needs to be treated and financially you know you will have some assistance with the bills. With that being said, I wish the deductible was not so high.

I’ll never own another pet without Nationwide coverage!

Fast claim turnaround, which was extremely helpful. I’m so grateful to Nationwide for the excellent and comprehensive coverage. He is doing very well now!

Very good support on processing claims and issuing reimbursement

Claims process resulted in very prompt reimbursement. It would be a little easier if the claim form could be filled out on line and then only scanning the supporting invoice would be necessary - but this is a minor inconvenience

Pricing

I was very disappointed at the rate of increase for Lucy, it was $48.20 a month and now it is $74.53 - I don't understand the cost increase of $26.33 a month. She is 3 years old and in good health. I just don't get it!!!! I have used Nationwide Pet insurance since August 2004 and I never had a price increase like this.

Grateful for the insurance coverage.

Buddy will be 10 next months and has not had one sick day in his life ... except he was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Thus far Nationwide has paid for all of his medical testing, treatment and meds! Thank you!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
