Nationwide Pet Insurance gives me piece of mind, so that my cat receives the best healthcare possible. In the past I was afraid to routinely take my pets to the vet because of the high costs. With Nationwide, I can now afford the preventative care that will keep my cat feeling her best. I'm so glad my vet recommended it.

Really helpful & caring

Nationwide has been hands down the best pet insurance I’ve had. Customer service is excellent, claims are quick, and when you are going through a hard time with losing a pet they automatically do all the sorting paper work for you just to try & make your lif a little simpler when going through hurdles. I really appreciate all Nationwide does for us (your customers & our pets we love) Nationwide really does treat our pets as true family

Hassle free claim submission, review and approval.

Overall, satisfied consumer for over eight years. No history of having to appeal a denied claim. Slightly disappointed in the amount of periodic premium increases; however, I have and will continue to recommend pet insurance to owners of young dogs who are able to take advantage of initially low premiums.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
